Tahiri is the third of my three currently-active OCs and the most recently created one. She's a Warlock (d20 3.5 system, not the new 4e!) but I completely discarded the ready-made fluff that came with that class.

(Wizards of the Coast feels that the only archetypes that should have Warlock abilities are those with ties or pacts with demons, devils, or fey. I rather disagree. Tahiri has no connection with any of the above - rather, as an OC in the Forgotten Realms setting, her thread of the Weave is simply stronger than most and allows her access to power that others do not have.)

She's what's known as a "glaivelock," a warlock who focuses almost exclusively on a single expression of their power - forming an eldritch glaive out of their latent energy and hitting people with it until they fall down. She's...fairly good at that part of it.
Her day job (yes! a d20 character with a day job) is very different, where she works as a bartender in the tavern that she (now) owns. And she doesn't just do it for the money - she does it because she loves it, and because dropping a foaming tankard of ale in front of someone makes them happy.

I designed her somewhat as a steriotypical tall, busty blond woman...but then added a large-boned build and not a few intimidating aspects to her personality - and her personality is pretty mercurial, too. She's the epitome of "Chaotic Do-Whatever-I-Want-Right-Now" but surprisingly that doesn't mean she is a nasty person or insane. She's impish more than anything else, and is a very fun person to play!

And, here's her full description:

Tahiri is a tall, blond, full-figured woman with a pretty face, infectious smile and green eyes that typically flash with merriment.
(Most men would probably prefer I stop right here. Alas, this is not meant to be.)
However, when I say tall, I mean *tall* - the woman stands at a full 6'1", and her Chondathan blood gifted her with a big-boned build that makes her shoulders wider than many a slender man. The combination of her height and bulk is unusual in a woman, and makes Tahiri just a wee bit intimidating despite her cheery countenance.
Her skin is weather-browned into a light tan, and her light brown hair has been sunburnt into a dirty blond. Gray-green eyes seem to sparkle as they watch the world, and there's typically a broad, friendly smile on her face. One long, slightly ragged scar tracks its way up under her left forearm.

Tahiri's style of dress varies widely depending on what she's doing at the time:
Once comfortable in the relative safety of the city, Tahiri can typically be found in anything at all, ranging from skirts to dresses (assuming she can find a decent one that fits her large frame!) or pants. There isn't an ounce of body-shy in her, and when working in taverns pouring beers she'll don the customary uniform of the location (however skimpy it may be) and take ogling and friendly slaps with the best of 'em.

When trouble strikes, Tahiri calls her armor - a well-crafted mithral breastplate that's snug around both midriff and bosom, yet due to the nature of armor covers those impressive assets. The full-face helm has a mask made of polished steel fashioned like her face, featureless save for one long spike of jade-colored lacquer reaching from the hairline down over the right eye-slit, the point of the spike ending an inch below her eye.
A small silvery buckler is strapped to one arm, a bandoleer slung over one shoulder and a basic pack on her back. Two large daggers grace her belt.

Additionally, Tahiri has a cohort! Another woman who follows her around like a lost little sheep - which is fairly close to the mark, given her background.

Darrina Stormchaser is a human, magically-altered to give her a pair of feathered wings which are golden-brown in hue. The person who did the altering wasn't the nice kind, either, and she's effectively been a slave since childhood. Worse, she'd been brought up to think that doing her master's bidding was good and right! Yeesh, Tahiri has her work cut out with this woman.

She's a spellcaster, specializing in illusion magic. And as she has that aforementioned Nasty Man lurking somewhere in the world, she typically hides her wings in a magical cloak. Tahiri took that a step further and had her dye both hair and wings a different color - jet black - so that when she does need to show them, she could perhaps be mistaken as someone or something other than the woman the Nasty Man is looking for.

Her description as of the moment is still fairly bare:

Darrina is a petite, pretty woman. She is clearly of Chondothan decent, although rather short as humans go. She stands only 5'2" tall, weighing only 110lbs. Her formerly light-brown hair has been dyed to jet black and falls loose in fine threads, and reticent light brown eyes look out at the world. She wears simple clothes that allow her to move freely, in neutral tones. She is always seen wearing her cloak, although when indoors she does lower the hood.
